Greetings

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you who visit the Korea Confucian Culture Center. The Korean Confucian Culture Center, which will open in 2022, will play a role as a research institute for the overall base of Korean Confucian culture and Korean studies in Chungcheong Province.
Chungcheongnam-do has contributed to the development of Confucian culture. In the Baekje era, the region was at the forefront of the dissemination of Confucianism through systems such as "Doctor System of Five Confucian Books", and in the Joseon Dynasty, it contributed to the development of Confucianism by greatly affecting Joseon's politics and culture through Kiho Confucianism.
The Korean Confucian Culture Center is the centerpiece to promote the noble ideology of Chungcheong Confucianism, such as the Yehak (禮學 or a study of Rites), which is a practical studies, the Silhak (實學, Practical Learning) based on “Iyonghusaeng [利用厚生]”, loyalty to sacrifice oneself in national crisis, and furthermore, the precious legacy of Korean Confucianism, not only in Korea but also around the world, succeeding its traditions and values as human heritage.
The Korean Confucian Culture Center conducts various Confucian culture research and humanities exchange activities, and strives to develop the precious spirit of Confucianism through "Larchiveum," a complex cultural space that functions as a library, archives, and a museum. In addition, the Hanok Training Center develops and operates educational content to realize Confucian culture encompassing the times, regions, and generations.
Through these efforts, the Center will try to contribute to the development of human society by fulfilling its role and function as a glocal Confucian cultural institution representing Korea and the world. Thank you.
